Okay guys I wasn’t going to write about this one quite yet but I know they are really looking for people to work at home right now so being the helper bee that I am, I’m going to help them out and help all of you out. Yay!
And this one I’m coming at with one hundred percent certainty because I’m currently working from home (or anyplace I have a high speed internet connection) for them and have been for over a year.
Drum roll please…
The position is Social Media Evaluator. The company is Appen. They are looking for both males and females, ages 18 to 55 and older who use social media on a daily basis.
They are particularly interested right now in US-based bilingual applicants fluent in German, Dutch, Polish, Romanian, Greek, Swedish, Italian or French. If you fit that bill, click here to apply. For non bilingual applicants, click here to apply.
The last I knew, starting pay was $13.75 per hour. The hours are beyond flexible. It’s not full-time but it’s a very decent part-time income. You have to work four hours between the hours of 3 a.m. in your time zone and midnight in your time zone. And they don’t have to be all together. You can stop and pick back up as often as you want throughout the day as long as you get your work done each day. You have to commit to five days per week and one of those days does have to be a weekend day.
When I first started working with them it took well over a month from the time I applied until the time I heard back from them so you might have to be a bit patient after you apply. Hopefully since they are so desperately looking for people right now, they will be a bit quicker in responding to applicants.
With this company you do only get paid once a month which is a little stinky. However, I have never had any trouble getting paid and I get paid via direct deposit to my checking account so it’s very legit. It’s also a freelance position rather than a W-2 employee position for any of you wondering about that.
I truly don’t have any complaints about this company. If I was forced to pick one thing to gripe about though, I would say that their technical support is a bit slow in responding. That kind of freaked me out in the beginning but once you learn the ropes and as long as you follow the guidelines and do what you are suppose to do, you shouldn’t have any problems. Like I said earlier, I’ve been working for them for almost a year and I have no complaints.
